Joanne mCcarron

Joanne McCarron has been selected for and attended many residencies and workshops including: Creators on Craft with Michael Robotham, Historical Fiction with Kate Forsyth, Creative Screenplay with Karel Segers; with Varuna, the National Writers House (for example, Writers Who are friends, Writers who are Hauntings; A Conversation Between Writers), and the ACT Writers Centre (for example, Year of the Novel with Craig Cormick, Writing Humour for Kids with Andy Griffiths, In a Nutshell: Writing for Children with Sue Whiting). She has studied creative writing at the postgraduate level with Mark Macleod, Alex Segal and Jared van Duinen and completed the Comprehensive Writing Certificate with the Writing School. She has received high praise from award-winning authors and writers including Peter Bishop, Craig Cormick, Teja Jaensch, Petrea King and Michael Pyne. She has worked as a researcher across subject areas as diverse as law, literature, creative writing, economics and mineral and earth science.
